ATYPICAL MULEY POPS.

Hello, America. It's us. Been too long, we fully admit that.

We've got a brand new design we've just released and currently Betty's Divine, Frayed Sew and (soon) Cactus Records in Bozeman will have it. And, as with everything, you can get it from our online store.  If you're from around here, you probably see about 10 mule deer a day, or maybe yo see urban whitetail. Who knows what you see. But in Montana, where there are a few more than a million people, I think I read an estimate that there around four times as many deer. Pretty excellent. How many of them do you think have an atypical rack? Boon and Crocket might know the rough percentages. We don't, but we're interested!

Hey, what else, you ask? Hmmmm, well, we have some pretty stellar sales popping loose over at Statriot.com. Odds and sods, mostly, but definitely some money to be saved. We also did a little interview with the rad folks at Betty's Divine. That's over here. Apropos of nothing, let us leave you with one of our all-time favorite songs:

HEY, SHIRTS!

WE KNOW, WE KNOW. The new art on the header is way awesome. What can we say. We paid a guy a lot of money, and you know, you pay for what you get. So, yeah. That's what we got. So, yeah, awesome.

In terms of this other stuff...What has Santa brought early? Why, it's shirts, man. Shirts with some new designs on them. Here they are.

Seriously though, we've got a handful of new gear in the works, just in time to give your ma, pa, sweetie, bro, sis, frien', etc. something nice. These already being sold at great shops like Betty's Divine (Missoula), Blackbird Kid Shop (Missouala), Frayed Sew (Helena), Four O-Six (Helena) and at good ol' Statriot.com.

What do we have there? Wellsirs 'n ma'ams, it's the Montana Coat of Arms, that's all. In keeping with our Missoula, Bozeman, Salt Lake and Portland Coats, this Montana COA tips cap to the great Euro styled dancing fish, weird deer and castle turrets. We picked wheat, a rocky front, some bolts and an eagle to rep our states wide open places, mystic faces and errr, yeah. Hoodies coming!

Next up, MT Closer. We thought that Joy Division had this album called "Closer" and that album's cover had this cool three-D sort of EKG reading deal that sort of looks like an undersea mountain range or something. Turns out, that album's called "Unknown Pleasures" and our design really has not much to do with it anyway. We like it just the same. Expect koozies!

Big, big thank yous to Andrea and Tom, our models. Both Andrea and Tom do creative, awesome stuff in Missoula. Andrea works under the name Salty and Sweet, and makes mobiles (avail. at House downtown, via her etsy site, and at the MADE Fair) and Tom is Shahs, a one-dude tropicalia cum Suicide blast.

BIGHORN!

It's high, it's wide, and certainly, it's handsome. It's the ovis canadensis. The bighorn sheep. This majestic ungulate is just as happy roaming the rocky crags and peaks of the Rocky Mountains as it is chewing grass.

Meanwhile, Statriot is releasing it's new HWH: Bighorn shirt tonight, June 4th 2010 at Betty's Divine (on S. Higgins) in Missoula. Stop by and say hello, we'll get the Bubble Up.

Additionally: Hey, we've got a snazzy new store happening over here, go ahead and check out the incredible you-can-pick-your-size on the front end functionality! Whoop!

NEW FALL DESIGNS: B'LAOW!
In time for fall 2009, the scientists at Statriot Towers have un-hatched a handful of new designs. First up, Montanka, a design by Missoula artist Andy Smetanka. Montanka is a clean, crisp snapshot of Montana's natural wonders, and it's already begun to move into the realm of the gift, for holidays 2009/2010 gift giving. Smetanka's a talent, and we're stoked-as-hell to be able to offer this shirt to the world. His previous art has included animation for musicians as diverse as Volumen, the Decemberists and Le Force, and collaborations with filmmaker Guy Maddin among othe luminaries.

Second is our third in the popular High, Wide and Handsome series, this time with the prince of the prairies, the king of the canyons, the Bison. Betty's Divine in Missoula is currently stocked with both designs, and our other retailers should have them soon. You can alway pick what you need at Statriot's Online Etsy Store.

Third up: our newest, and number two, in the Coats of Arms series, it's Jim Bridger's and John
Bozeman's rugged western dream, the gateway city to Yellowstone Nat'l Park, the Bridger Mountains, the Spanish Peaks, the Metcalf Wilderness, and the list goes on, on, on: Bozeman. The Bozeman Coat of Arms is available exclusively via Cactus Records in the Snowy City.
