BISON II, MAGIC II.

The folks here at Statriot towers have been busy in the new design department, friend. We've got a new Bison design (We're calling it the Bison II), and a new Magic Country. For the bison, we've got hats and patches too.

This is the new Bison II design.

This is our Magic Country II design.

MONFUCKINTANA PEAKS!

The technicians here at Statriot, working our pal from Garage Tees (and Camp Daze) got this new shirt design together recently: It's called Monfuckintana Peaks and it's kind of our version of that classic seventies yellow and red on green 1970s worn out tee shirt, that says something like "Colorado Weed Control" or something like that on it.

It's meant to be a simple and stark reminder of the big granite that surrounds us, the raptors, the moon and rivers around here. Perhaps not that profound, but what are you going to do. We're simple folks. These can be found at Betty's Divine in Missoula, Cactus Records in Bozeman, Ernie November in Billings, and via our website.

NEW WOLF.

Here at the obscenely sprawling, rolling giant sage be-speckled hill property where each of the seventeen co-proprietors of Statriot have a separate 3000 sq. foot luxury log cabin, we've been thinking about what to do  for our next design.

Certainly, we're fans of charismatic megafauna, and the great wildlife that make our beautiful state wild. And while we've largely focused on the vegetarians, and ungulates, we figured it was time to diversify: thus the Grey Wolf shirt here. High, Wide and Handsome: Monfuckintana. This shirt is dedicated on these hungry predators whose packs call the Northern Rockies home. Available starting 12/15/14 via our http://statriot.com website

ATYPICAL MULEY POPS.

Hello, America. It's us. Been too long, we fully admit that.

We've got a brand new design we've just released and currently Betty's Divine, Frayed Sew and (soon) Cactus Records in Bozeman will have it. And, as with everything, you can get it from our online store.  If you're from around here, you probably see about 10 mule deer a day, or maybe yo see urban whitetail. Who knows what you see. But in Montana, where there are a few more than a million people, I think I read an estimate that there around four times as many deer. Pretty excellent. How many of them do you think have an atypical rack? Boon and Crocket might know the rough percentages. We don't, but we're interested!

Hey, what else, you ask? Hmmmm, well, we have some pretty stellar sales popping loose over at Statriot.com. Odds and sods, mostly, but definitely some money to be saved. We also did a little interview with the rad folks at Betty's Divine. That's over here. Apropos of nothing, let us leave you with one of our all-time favorite songs:

HOODIE TIME.

That was to the tune of Hammer Time, you know, by the guy with the big pants, winning smile and sequins. One M.C. Hammer of Oakland, CA. Anyhow. Sorry about the tangent there.

Yes, speaking of anyhow, we went crazy with the Hooded sweatshirts this cold-and-flu season. Got a bunch of our designs on them. Brand new for the season is the Montana Closer design on this sweet American Apparel zip hoodie. We've also got Montankas, Leanin Pronghorns and some Montana Coat of Arms hoodies. Have a look at statriot.com, our website if you want details. Time to go listen to ZZ Top, I guess.

BISON, BISON. HAPPY 2013

Just a short entry here, wanted to say here's to a good, new year for you. May yours be over-filled with bison. Both the real kind, and the metal from Canada kind. And maybe some Zubrowka too. Not too much though.

Love,

Statriot

LATE 2012 NEW STUFF.

Yeah, so 2012 is almost over, and so is the world, right, that's maybe what the Mayans are saying? To commemorate that, and as a special deal for the Missoula MADE Fair, which is always a huge, fun, inspiring event for us, we decided we'd kick out a couple new designs! Both of these are currently available in our store, and we'll be getting 'em into our accounts soon too!

This one is called Montruckintana, and you know. It kind of needs no introduction. Car camping holds a special place in our hearts, and one day, we'd like a  dedicated rig like this one to load up and head out with. We like backpacking and non-car camping too, don't get us wrong, there's just a certain je ne sais quois that goes along with a camp-ready rig, all self contained like this. Throw a Thin Lizzy 8-Track in, shift through all three gears, scream a conversation over the road noise, etc.

Second shirt: New High, Wide: Osprey. We love an osprey. It's hard not to. They're so damn tactical and fierce. We could watch 'em work for hours. We know lots of folks who feel the same way. We decided to make a shirt honoring their excellence.

HEY-HO, WE'VE GOT A NEW STICKER DESIGN YO, SHIRT COMING! ALSO, SOME FINE IDAHO-WEAR, FINALLY!
NEW stickers, available via statriot.com

That's correct, our new sticker is simply called "Monfuckintana: High Wide" and there's a picture of it. We wanted it to be a little chaotic looking, and voila. We plan to do some variation of this as a new shirt design in time for the Holiday MADE Fair, which we're proud to participate in on December 9th, at the Holiday Inn downtown Missoula.

It's time we gave a big shout outs to our accounts that are currently carrying this, they are:
Betty's Divine in Missoula
Ernie November in Billings
Cactus Records in Bozeman
Frayed Sew in Helena
Rockin' Rudy's in Missoula

These folks have also got shirts and hats, etc. so give 'em your business. They're locals!

Speaking of which, we just launched a couple of new Idaho designs with our premier account in Moscow, Idaho. They're the Moscow Food Co-Op and they're proudly carrying three Idaho-themed Statriot designs. Three shirts and two totes. Stop on in, they too are committed to sustainable food, local culture and community health. All values we share!

MOOSE, TURKEY SIDE OF STICKERS.

We're not sure what that means, but that's never stopped a blogger from bloggin', right? Well, we mean, actually we've got a couple of new designs you-all should have a look at, decide if you like 'em, and well, at some point if you do like, think about getting one. What exactly can one say? Ramma-lamma-fa-fa-fa, I guess.

Seriously, though: We launched ol' Moosy this year, thinking hey, how do we do something kind of thrashed looking, but kind of iconic, like the might moose. We came up with this here, and you can get it from statriot.com, which is our web store.

Then more recently, we talked to our friend Kari Workman and were all like, Kari: you wanna draw a hen turkey design for us? You know, because we've got turkeys here too. And why do eagles get all the cred when turkeys are pretty remarkable adaptations. They hang in packs (community), aren't what you'd outwardly call "beautiful" (normal) and have serious smarts. She got us this Wild Hentana design and we freakin' dig it.

Nuff said.

STRAIGHT KOURAGE, NO CHASER.

A few years ago, the folks at Statriot met Kitt Kourage, "Loose Cannon" of the west. We struck a deal to work on some "cross promotional" opportunities. Stay tuned for those. Meanwhile, we think Kitt's work speaks for itself.

NEW STATRIOT DESIGNS A'POPPIN.
It's been longer than a sow grizzly's winter nap since we pumped out new shirts. Must be uh, the weather, or the rapture, I mean recession that's had us all tied up with other activities. Wellsirs, that stops NOW! All this is available from our webstore, Statriot.com and in actual physical stores like Betty's! We'll have stickers shortly. Keep tuned.

What've we got here: well, #1's called Hecho En Montana or, just "Hecho" for short. That means "made in Montana" to us anglophones, and it's a design we got from the nation of Mexico, and added a little of our own Montana flair to. That's an osprey now, not an eagle, or condor or whatever. You see this logo (or the Mexican one) on everything from tortilla presses to .. uh, citrus presses, and Jarritos brand soda pop. We liked it's bold simplicity so damn much, we decided, "hey! let's do one of those for Montana." And voila, as the say south of the border.

#2's called Montana Letters or ... maybe, "letters" for short, I guess. It's just kind of a bizarre tribute to all the concrete letters sitting on hillsides across the Treasure State. Everybody's got an M, and L, a whatever sitting on their town-facing hillside. As though you need to be reminded of the town's first letter regularly. On a positive note, the M in Missoula's probably responsible for getting more woulda-been-sittin'-on-their-asses tourists out of a car and onto a trail, even if for only a portion of the climb. Good on you, big M. Good on you.

Before we go, let me just point one thing that Kitt Kourage laid on us recently to you: it's this new Bombino record from this insane guitar player from Niger, Omara Moctar. It's ferocious. And by ferocious, I mean mellow, and beautiful, and like perfectly executed un-cheeseball classic rock minus Joe Walsh and Don Henley fuckin' it all up. Huh?

Spring? Statriot? Springriot.

Bloggin' bloggin' bloggin', you know my ass is soggin'... head 'em up, roll 'em out, roll 'em in, BLOGHIDE. Ahem. What the do here, peoples?

Wheh-he-hell, we' figured we'd give you a little secret snapshot of some of the new designage we've been hunkered down with around here. We're excited about it, we think it's cool, we're blah blah back.
Rumspringe.

What else is going on 'round here? Knife sharpening, extreme yoga, egg noodles, tai chi, Tang beverage, knife throwing, inner-self exploration, New Country listening, extreme reading, stir frying. It's spring, bro.

More real soon.

DEAL: CHOCOLATE + HOODIE

We, the thrift-minded stewards of the Statriot Mountain Cave outpost are fans of the deal. Whether it's the Little Big Lots end cap at the Orange Street Food Farm, or yard sale-purchased fleece garment. We've been known to eat leftovers.

We know a deal when we see one. And we act on those deals. All this talk of deals has us somewhat salivating on the keyboard. It's gross.

But seriously, speaking of deals: We'll rush out a combo pack featuring an alarmingly simple, but surprisingly thoughtful set of gifts. A milk-chocolate bar of.... milk chocolate, and a beautiful, Montana made Montanka pullover hoodie sweatshirt. These are the thick, heavy duty kind. This deal will end on Valentine's Day, 2011, and can be found only at statriot.com

Folks we've gone plum loco over here at Statriot acres. As our way of giving back to the community we've shredded prices even more on one of our hottest items. The Montanka hoodie.

Now remember we're talking combo here. One cold enhancing koozie, two stickers, Hoodie and of course one Hersheys Chocolate bar sans almonds. Now this deal ain't gonna be around forever, so make your move. Forget the Barry Manilow and Mikes Hard Lemonade, this is all you'll need for your Valentine day wishes to come true. Heres the place: statriot.com

GET YOUR SWEETIE A HOODIE, MAN.

Just like Glenn Beck and others in the fast paced world of the internet taste making (huh?) we're gearing up to offer folks a heckuva deal for the upcoming Valentine's Day Holiday. That's right, we've got a deal for you. It's something real nice, we think:

We start with a fine, hooded Sweatshirt. We add a high quality foam coozie. We add two stickers. We also add a fine Hershey, Pennsylvania-produced bar of chocolate. We wrap it all in an old copy of the Missoula Independent, slap an utterly insane low, low, Lolo pricetag on the whole shooting match, and voila! You're covered. Think about it.
And choose to act upon it, if it strikes you as a good idear. The place: statriot.com.

CLOSER TO WHAT?

Yeah, that´s a valid enough question we guess. Here´s the answer: So, while many know us from our expletive-laden work, turns out we´ve got stuff that´s 100% family-friendly up here in the hills outside Statriosburg.

Yep, and this design here, called Closer, is one of our absolute newest. We wanted it to be clean, simple and wordless and just kind of stark. Like if somehow the Mission range were weirdly, perfectly illuminated on a clear winter´s night. Say you stopped a little north of Ronan and gazed eastward? We figured, this, or something approaching it might be what you see. There are but a few places in the world that can boast the natural wall-hangings it´s pretty easy to walk past on an average day in MT.

Uh, yeah... so, yeah. So I always loved this image on Joy Division´s Unknown Pleasures album. We thought it was actually called "Closer," which is a whole separate album. Well, by the time we got the design out of the shop, Closer had stuck.... and hey, voila. If you want a good pre-Joy Division deal, check out the Warsaw LP in its entirety. Awesomely robotic punk.
If it all strikes your fancy, find your way over to statriot.com, which is our store site. We have shirts and coozies.

IT'S A COOZIE-FILLED WORLD, WE JUST LIVE IN IT.

We've been keeping beer cold in coozies since the 90's, man. Seriously, however, what an interesting thing to search around the internet for. Seems like there are fifteen hundred different variations on the traditional foam rubber can-holster we generally run with. There's the bottle coozie, bottle coozie with zipper, bottle coozie shaped like a Philadelphia 76ers jersey, there's this, there's that, there's the other thing.

We've kept it utterly basic here at the Statriot mountain bunker. There's no extra frills, no zippers, no dashboard-adhering suction cup. Just a cylinder with a closed end, into which you can pop your 12-16 oz. canned drink. We'll stop the rambling and show you our newest-latest coozie: it's the Closer design and we like it just fine. It joins the ranks of the Ram and and the Pronghorn as the Treasure State's most worn-in coozie.

Now, if you're unfamiliar with the work of Portland, Oregon's Red Fang, we recommend that you start with this homage to LARPing called Prehistoric Dog.

KIDS, SHIRTS. KID-SHIRTS ARE NOW!

Just take a look at this rogue. When he's not reading books, eating cookies or singing songs, the guy's making stuff from blocks and being stoked! This is one of the unofficial mascots of Missoula's excellent, ethical Kid Shop, Blackbird on S. Higgins. Stop in and peruse their gear. Meanwhile, over at statriot.com, we've just busted loose a handful of these sharp kid-sized designs.

PRODUCTOS NUEVOS, SALE GRANDE, Y YOUTUBE RECOMENDACIONES.

That's correcto, amigos. The folks at the Statriot bunker, in addition to doing one-handed pushups, eating generic Cheetos and listening to lots of Egyptian, Cajun and country music have been plenty busy the past handful of weeks. We've got new designs on-offer, have built some pretty low-cost holiday deals ($40 gets you a hoodie, coozie and pair of stickers), and are going to be at the Fair at the Emerson in Bozeman on Saturday December 11th and at the MADE Fair in Missoula on Sunday, December 12th. Stop by and say hello!

Let's take a look at some of our newer things here: First up, in the photo below we've got our new embroidered Montana Coat of Arms zipper hoodie! These are all the rage from Drummond to Desmet and from Kremlin to Colstrip. We've got a real hot special offer over at the Statriot Store.
And here's a closeup of the fine sew-job on this patch:

That's enough for a quick update, we think. That accept I think I said I'd make some youtube recommendations. We're suckers for music videos here. Heck, if we had cable we'd weight 471 lbs and the TV'd be on VH1-classic 25 hours a day.. but seriously, there's a treasure trove of great live appearances on the German Beat Club TV show out there. Here's some video of Black Sabbath playing Blue Suede Shoes. Let it play and you get all sorts of wild Sabbath footage. What shredders! Hard to touch these dudes.
